This video does a great job chronicling this local super-star of sailing. Buddy Melges was an avid sailor and iceboater from Zenda, Wisconsin. During the winter, the iceboaters would travel the region to find the best ice and Green Bay's ice conditions brought the racers including Buddy to Windjammers to race.
